Wedding on a Private Island | Stout’s Island, Wisconsin

Gosh, where to begin with Anne & David’s incredible wedding weekend on Stout’s Island? For those of you that haven’t visited Stout’s Island, please go immediately!! It’s such a beautiful lodge, reminiscent of a different era. I love the up-northy, lake-woodsy feel. It makes me feel kind of like Baby in Dirty Dancing (minus the overprotective parents and dance – and life- lessons with Patrick Swayze!). It’s such a peaceful place and really just the perfect spot to host a wedding weekend. You have to take a boat to get this remote island, and once you’re there, it’s pure magic.

Anne and David, along with their lovely parents, hosted a fantastic weekend starting Friday night with the rehearsal dinner, all the way through the main event on Saturday, and farewell brunch on Sunday. They couldn’t have picked a better date- the leaves were almost at their peak and the atmosphere was cozy. The weekend, along with our time working together, passed way too quickly, but even in our short time together, I’ve grown to absolutely adore this couple. If they didn’t live in San Francisco, I would insist that we be besties and hang out all the time. They’re world travelers (I mean, they have been around the world, quite literally, and honeymooned in Japan & Kauai), whip smart, super sophisticated, have great style, and treat their friends and family like gold. Most of all, they’re better together, and their love is evident when you see smiles on their faces! I feel so lucky to have been a part of your wedding; thank you Anne & David! Cheers to many years together and countless adventures to come!
