Kayla & Michael | Minneapolis Engagement at Loring Park

You guys, I may be living in Hawaii, but my roots will always be in Minneapolis. I love this city and the beautiful state of Minnesota. And, I think we can all agree that summa, summa, summatime is THE BEST! I used to live for those long summer days where it doesn’t get dark out until nearly 10:00p. I can close my eyes, and picture myself sitting on a pontoon, with a glass of rosé in my hand, a group of friends, plenty of mosquito repellant, in a cozy sweatshirt because the air cooled to the perfect temp after a sunny, hot day… I can feel it you guys!! MN IS THE BEST!

And, lucky me, I have trips scheduled back to MN (and Wisconsin and Chicago) every month from June-October. So, I won’t miss out on summer (or fall!) in the midwest. It’s a lot of travel, but I oddly enjoy airports and air travel, and I love any excuse to come home and visit family and friends.

On my last trip home, not only did I shoot a lakeside wedding at a cabin up north, but I also met Kayla & Michael for their engagement session in Loring Park. Minneapolis was in full bloom and the park was so green and vibrant. And, Kayla and Michael were naturals in front of the camera. We had so much fun together, and I can’t wait for their September wedding at the Minneapolis Golf Club!
