Brittany & Seth | Oahu Couples Session at Kahana Bay

Hello summer in Hawaii! Believe it or not, we do have seasons here on Oahu. I’m no meteorologist, but I refer to them as hot and hotter. The longer I live here, the more I can tell the subtle different between 87 and 93 degrees! As it’s gotten warmer, I’ve been doing a little less hiking, a lot more beach time. Oh, and of course, still traveling back and forth to Minneapolis and Chicago for all the wonderful weddings I have booked this summer and fall.

I’m also shooting more and more families and couples here on Oahu and I’m loving it! Most of my clients are traveling on vacation and want to capture the memories beyond just the iPhone selfies.

Like Brittany & Seth! These Wisconsin natives came to celebrate their ten year wedding anniversary! They reached out because they wanted to do an Oahu couples session to commemorate the occasion. They stayed on the north shore at the famous Turtle Bay, so we chose nearby Kahana Bay Beach Park as the location for their session.  I love Kahana Bay because it’s a perfect mix of those gorgeous green mountains that just scream Hawaii, and calm ocean waters. Because it’s a protected bay, the waves are usually gentle – perfect for kiddos, families, and couples that wanna dip their feet in without the risk of being swept out to sea!
