COPENHAGEN TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY
2019 goal? Share more images! What better way to start than with a collection of images from one of my very favorite cities? Copenhagen.
I traveled here on a bit of whim. Denmark and Copenhagen weren’t entirely on my radar, but a cheap $320 flight from Minneapolis gave me the push I needed to visit a new country.
And, what’s not to love? A quaint and clean city. Beautiful people in the most darling attire (often times pedaling down the street on equally dashing bicycles), Danish design, and a restaurant and gastronomy scene that would please even the most discerning palate. I’ve never dined so well – each meal felt like a Michelin starred experience. I also appreciated all the attention to detail in everything from the decor to lighting, to the handmade ceramics. My absolute favorite spots to eat were:
Vakst – If I could only go one place, this would be it! A must. Coolest little greenhouse in the middle of the restaurant. Check out the basement even if you don’t get seated down there
Host – Artfully presented food that’ll make your mouth water!
Spuntino – Budget friendly by Copenhagen standards. Pre Fixe menu
Torvehallerne – Indoor market with lots of little food stalls and the best open faced sandwiches
Paper Island – An abandoned ship yard filled with an insane variety of food stalls
Souls – Best plant based food and Insta-worthy interior
Drink:
Lidkoeb – Creative cocktails and cool vibes.
The Lady Log Cafe – Neighborhood spot with lots of locals. Recommended by our AirBnB host. Funky space!
I’d go back in heartbeat – I think Copenhagen will always remain a fav!
