Oh man, it’s been a while since I’ve updated the blog! Life has been a bit of a whirlwind. In December I moved to Honolulu on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Oahu.

Yeah. Crazy. I’m still shooting weddings in Minneapolis/Minnesota/Wisconsin (sky miles are about to sky rocket!), and have a full season of beautiful nuptials coming up in the Midwest. But I’m also booking weddings, elopements, couples, and family sessions in Hawaii.

Phew! Moving my well-established business 4,000 miles across the Pacific Ocean has been a wild ride. But four months in, I’m finally starting to feel settled. Oh, and I’m feeling super blessed to already be shooting so many incredible couples and families.

Like this beautiful little fam below. They were visiting Oahu from Oregon, found me on Instagram (thank you hashtags!) and booked me for a session. It can be a little overwhelming to photograph a family of 6, but let me tell ya, these kiddos were the sweetest and cooperated with my photographic demands. This family already has mountains and ocean in their home state, so Mom wanted those gorgeous green, Hawaiian mountains as the backdrop. We started at Kualoa Ranch, and finished their session on K’a’a’awa Beach. We had an overcast, windy day, but winter in Hawaii involves embracing the weather, and this family brought their own sunshine.
