Laie Elopement Photography

Kathleen & Christopher have a deep love and appreciation for Hawaii! Their history here led them to getting engaged at Velzyland Beach, and they immediately knew that was where they wanted to get married too!

They planned their day around sunset vows at Velzyland on the gorgeous north shore of Oahu! When they enlisted me as their photographer, I helped them to plan a day with beautiful photos at some of their favorite spots.

After they got ready privately, we started their day at Laie Point, where the gorgeous cliffs look over the windward mountains. We had a beautiful afternoon, and when the sun peeked out, it illuminated the water in the most stunning turquoise blue hue. We made sure to leave ample time for photos around the area.

After shooting in Laie, we stopped briefly at Kawela Bay for photos with jungle vibes in front of the banyan tree!

Lastly, it was on to Velzyland for sunset vows and a ring exchange. Kathleen and Chris wanted their ceremony to be really private and intimate, so I even acted as their officiant. (Yep, I’m a licensed officiant with the state of Hawaii and can sign your marriage license for you too!). They exchanged vows in front of the gorgeous north shore sunset, and we had the beach nearly all to ourselves. It was the perfect evening that wrapped right as the sun was dipping below the horizon.
