MAUI SUNSET ELOPEMENT

Meet Brooke and Matt! They reached out to me when they were planning the trip of a lifetime with their five children – a cruise through four of Hawaii’s islands, Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii. Though they’ve been partners for a long time, raising their blended family together, they had never officially tied the knot. But wanted to change all that when visiting Hawaii.

They settled on Maui as the perfect place to get married and after deciding on me as their photographer, we worked together on choosing the perfect locations and planning all the logistics. There’s a lot to consider including not only location, but where to get ready, hair and makeup, florals, an officiant. Though they were staying on a cruise ship, they opted to get a hotel for the day, The Westin Ka’anapali, to have a home base to prep for their elopement. The girls got their hair and makeup done, and prepped for the big day, while the guys dressed and relaxed. We started with the first look on the grounds of the hotel, I found the perfect secluded spot for the bride and groom to see each other for the first time on their elopement day; surrounded by lush, tropical foliage. Then the entire crew hopped over to a gorgeous and magical forest outside of Kapalua for family photos. We finished with sunset nuptials at an incredible beach and portraits of the newlyweds.
