Crouching Lion Oahu Elopement

CROUCHING LION OAHU ELOPEMENT

Lala & Todd are the two most amazing souls! I had so much fun with them, celebrating their love on their elopement day on beautiful Oahu! Lala and Todd chose Oahu as the place they wanted to get married and they traveled all the way from Minnesota (my home state!) to make it official. Together with their videographer, Dream FX Media, we captured their day, from the dramatic cliffs of gorgeous Laie Point, and then culminating with vows atop Crouching Lion.

Lala looked absolutely radiant in her stunning gown with intricate lace and subtle beading. Todd kept it easy breezy with linen pants, a shirt and vest! We started with dramatic ocean side pictures on the rocky cliffs of Laie. Laie affords amazing views of the coast in the distance and was sparkling blue in the mid afternoon sun. After some time for couples photos, we made our way to Crouching Lion, which is an infamous hike, short, but super steep, with dramatic views of Kahana Bay and Oahu’s rugged coast.  The couple changed into hiking clothes before heading up, and carried their wedding attire and flowers in backpacks. Major shoutout to Lala and Todd, because although this hike is short, it is not easy. It’s almost vertical in parts with lots of ropes and requires not only legit hiking shoes, but solid upper body strength.

Once at the top, they freshened up and changed back into their dress and formalwear for intimate vows at the top of the mountain. Crouching Lion is definitely a spectacular spot for a once-in-a-lifetime elopement!
