Kathryn & Jeff hosted the most stunning summer celebration in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I photographed Kathryn’s brothers wedding way back in 2015 (please click here to check out the blog from Bobby & Celia’s gorgeous Minneapolis wedding – so timeless and chic!), so I was beyond grateful and excited when Kathryn reached out to tell me she was engaged to the love of her life and planning her own wedding day! It’s so special to be able to work with families again and again – it truly means the world to me! Bobby and Celia’s children also served as the flower girls and ring bearer for their aunt’s big day – see below.
Kathryn was the epitome of an elegant bride with a classic gown and veil! The theme for the wedding was based off a white and blue floral vase Kathryn’s mother owns, and I believe it was referred to as “grandmother chic!” There were blue tones splashed everywhere, while still keeping it understated and timeless. The most prevalent use of the blue floral theme was in the bridesmaids mismatched gowns from Bhldn. The entire look was stunning and I hope mismatched bridesmaids is a trend that is here to stay!
The bride and groom were married in a traditional Lutheran wedding ceremony, and then hosted gorgeous riverside cocktails and a reception at the incredible Minneapolis Event Center on historic St Anthony Main. This venue has a gorgeous mix of indoor and outdoor space to take advanatage of those incredible Minneapolis summers! Kathryn made a quick change into a fun reception look before dancing the night away!
Thanks you, Kathryn and Jeff, and your sweet families, for trusting me to be your wedding photographer!
