KAILUA FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Meet this lovely little family! I absolutely adored working with the Byes and their sweet doggie, Gizmo! This local ohana hails from Australia, but resides in Kailua, and wanted to do a family shoot at a location very special to them – the beach right down the street from their home.

We met for sunset at Kalama Beach. Even though sunset isn’t visible from this east side location, I still love shooting at sunset time for the beautiful pastel colors that often fill the sky. The beach was calm and serene, and the perfect backdrop to showcase this beautiful family and their love for each other! It was so fun to capture their bond – I especially loved how Dad was so playful with daughter, Emme! They were all so sweet together, and I have a soft spot in my heart for dogs, so of course I was obsessed with Gizmo!

During our shoot I couldn’t help but notice Emme’s friendship bracelets. Turns out we’re both obsessed with Taylor Swift so we bonded over our mutual love, and crazily enough, discovered we were all going to be headed to Vancouver just a few days after our shoot for the final show of Eras Tour!!
