HAWAII FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

There’s something so special about a sunrise session! I know it sounds dauntingly early, but the wakeup call is worth it every time. Sunrise typically brings soft, pastel colors, calm winds, lower temperatures, and miles and miles of beaches all to ourselves!

I met the Gilmore family bright and early at Makua Beach on the west side of Oahu for their Hawaii family photography session. Mom, Jen, is a photographer based out of Orange County, CA, and Gilbert, AZ, and as a photographer herself she understands the value in capturing these precious family moments while on vacation in such a magical place, like Hawaii!

You could definitely tell the boys were used to photos – they were so cooperative and all smiles. And so sweet to make Mom happy and get up before the sun for their photo session.

I loved the color palette they selected. The various tones of blue, both light and dark, looked perfect with the more neutral tans and khaki, and perfectly complemented the gorgeous backdrop.
