The Thompsons | Family Session in Ko’olina

KO’OLINA, OAHU FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Meet the adorable Thompson Family! I first met Catherine waayyy back in 2011! I traveled annually to Las Vegas for a photography convention and we worked on a shoot together. (You can check that out here if you want to dive deep into my photography archives!) Catherine is an amazing, amazing florist with Layers of Lovely, and though she was based in Vegas at the time, she now resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You must check out her website and Insta because her work is seriously incredible!

We ended up working together on shoots in subsequent years too… but fast forward about a decade or so, and Catherine reached out when her and her family were planning a trip to the Disney Aulani Resort here on Oahu! I was so excited to see her again after all those years and to meet her precious family!

The evening of their shoot ended up being quite rainy (even though the radar had literally ZERO rain), but the Thompsons were troopers and we got in a good 10-15 minutes of photos before a downpour completely drenched us and halted our efforts. Mahalo, guys, for rolling with the punches. You never quite know what to expect with Oahu weather!
