Kelsy & Butch | Point Lobos, California Couples Session

Ah, Kelsy & Butch! Where do I even begin with this amazing couple? They’re sweet, funny, fun, beautiful, joyful, genuine, smart, and the most amazing photographers I know! One might think it would be intimidating to photograph photographers (it sometimes is!), but with Kelsy & Butch you immediately feel at ease. We’ve photographed each other many, many times, and at this point, it’s just a fun evening out, with cameras in hand!

Let’s back up a bit. Last fall, I received a call or text or email from Butch (or maybe it was Kelsy?!)- his sister was freshly engaged to a wonderful man, getting married at the most beautiful ranch in California and they wanted to know if I was available. They put me in touch with Stevi and after a few months of phone calls and emails and planning, her big day was finally here! Before I knew it, I was hopping on a plane with my crew to photograph one of the most amazing weddings I’ve ever had the chance to be a part of. I am so incredibly grateful that K&B would trust me enough to recommend me to their family- what an honor. And, for anyone that knows Butch, you know he’s always happy and has a huge smile and just makes you feel happy too… well, Stevi and their family is the same way. They are all just amazing!

Since we were all in Carmel, California, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to do a session (even though we missed their pup, Parker James!). We snuck away from the pre-wedding festivities for a few hours of golden sunlight at Point Lobos, right outside Carmel. What a beautiful place to shoot! Kelsy & Butch, a million ‘THANKS!’ would never be enough! But, it needs to be said- thank you!! I adore you!
