HAWAII SUNSET ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Meet Madeline & Finn! We share a fun, Midwest connection. Madeline & Finn were born and raised in Iowa, Madeline now resides in Chicago (my former home!) where she studies optometry, and they were referred to me by their wedding photographer, and my former colleague and friend from Minneapolis (my hometown!), Liz Banfield. Liz is an incredible film photographer and I’ve admired her work since before the beginning of my photography career! Thank you Liz, for sending this adorable couple my way for their engagement session.

Madeline and Finn are high school sweethearts, but have been long distance for years. Finn recently found himself stationed on Oahu with the Air Force, where Madeline will join him when she graduates from school. For now, they visit each other when they can, and what better place for an engagement session than their future home of Oahu?

They chose this remote, west side beach for their session. I love this location because it’s surrounded by mountains; literally incredible views from every angle, the beach is generally quite empty, and it’s one of the best views of sunset on the entire island.
